CONCEPT
QPA Dance Studio, located in Woolloongabba, seeks to revitalize its tired spaces under the guidance of client Grace. The goal is to transform the studio into an inviting, modern space that exudes elegance and professionalism while ensuring each studio has character to inspire students. Key areas of focus include maximizing the underutilized kitchen and courtyard, as well as enhancing the merchandise display at reception with new branding ideas.

The design theme, "Querencia," fosters a joyful and free environment for dance and communication. A soft pink color scheme will reflect the qualities of ballet dancers and complement merchandise, while wooden grills in the entrance staircase and courtyard will add a natural, relaxing ambiance. This cosmetic upgrade aims to create a vibrant hub for creativity and community engagement, making Paradox Dance Studio a standout destination
Querencia
A Place from which one's strength is drawn,
Where one feels at home,
It is the internal desire to dance like no one is watching,
It is the moment when breathing and dancing become the same thing,
It's that conversation between the body and soul,
Where dancing enables you to both find yourself and lose yourself at the same time,
The place where you are your most authentic self,

BREIF ANALYSIS WITH ORIGINAL LAYOUT

Courtyard Concept
The courtyard is underutilized and uninviting due to its dark atmosphere and moldy astroturf. We aim to revitalize it into a bright, welcoming space for relaxation and socialization, ideal for academy bonding events like barbecues and gatherings

Reception Concept
Create an inviting reception area with warm colors, comfortable furniture, and ambient lighting. Add artwork, plants, and an organized front desk, along with a coffee station to enhance visitor experience.

Kitchen Concept
Transform the kitchen by removing unused vending machines and furniture to enhance efficiency. Create an inviting space that fosters relationships between students and teachers.

Studio Concept
The studios need a cosmetic lift, including a fresh coat of paint to create an exciting learning environment. We aim to refresh all spaces, especially the toddler ballet room, transforming it into a fun area with charming wallpaper that kids will love.
